Program Overview:

This program of “Starting a Business” was designed with detailed modules that emphasizes the participation in both the work and education fields. The program is explains all the skills required, and all the objectives

It is designed as a comprehensive approach that takes into account factors such as training needs, the work situation, the purposes, goals, strategies and the means to
achieve these goals.

In this program, we outline the skills students must acquire in order to graduate.

This program should serve as a reference for the Home Childcare Provider.

  

Program Information:

  • This training program, consists of 330 hours with 6 modules (240 hours are devoted to skills directly related to the tasks required to run a home based child daycare and 90 hours, are related to broader skills of the trade.)

 

  • The program is divided into two sections :


             - The first section- general information; which presents an overview of training and includes five chapters. The first chapter summarizes, in point form, all the essential information. The second defines the                              goals of training; the third deals with a list of required skills and the fourth section deals with the overall objectives. Finally, the fifth chapter elaborates on the operational objectives.


            -The second part is more about the people involved and affected bythe application program. It describes the operational objectives ofeach module.

Goals of the program:

 

The Training Program goals of Starting a Business is defined from the general goals of vocational training, taking into account of the particular work situation. These goals are:

 

  • To train the student to be effective in the implementation of a profession.;
  • Enable the student to understand the steps to follow and start a business.
  • Enable the student to develop and submit a business plan.
  • Enable the student to acquire technical tools in using a computer.
  • To help students develop the proper approach related to professional ethics and responsibility.
  • Enable the student to develop the importance of effective communication.
  • Ensure proper integration of the person to working life
  • Enable the student to understand their entrepreneurial potential.
  • Enable the student to understand the context of working of a self employed professional.
  • Enable the student to understand their rights and responsibilities as an entrepreneur.
  • Promote the development of the individual and the acquisition of professional knowledge.
  • Enable the student to develop their sense of leadership, creativity, autonomy, desire for success and sense of responsibility.
  • To help students develop a sense of practical thinking to uncertain situations.
  • Enable the student to increase their capacity to learn, to be informed, able to review and to document what needs to be documented.

  • Working independently from home or business;
  • Or within an existing organization.
